Features: Since the 1980s, China's water conservancy and hydropower science and technology personnel have continuously summarized experience in engineering design, construction, and operation, conducted scientific research, and adopted roller-compacted concrete (RCC) technology to build dams, achieving fruitful results. Currently, there are nearly 100 RCC dams built or under construction, with about 30 of them exceeding 100 meters in height. To summarize construction experience and promote advanced scientific and technological achievements, the Roller-Compacted Concrete Dam Construction Professional Committee plans to hold the "Technical Exchange Meeting Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Pit Mouth RCC Dam and the Longtan 200m-Class RCC Dam" in June 2006. For this purpose, a wide range of scientific and technical papers on design, construction, research, operation, and monitoring were collected, and 80 of them were selected and compiled into this book, serving as a gift for the conference and also providing reference for future dam construction and related projects. This book is available for reference for technical personnel engaged in dam construction, including survey and design, construction, operation, monitoring, research, and teaching, as well as students and faculty from relevant institutions.
