II. Basic Safety Operation Knowledge
1. Before entering a pit or well, check for the presence of toxic gases such as methane. Only proceed with work after confirming the absence of toxic gases. Maintain good ventilation within the pit or well. If any abnormalities are observed, immediately stop work and report to the supervisor or team leader for handling.
2. Excavation should be carried out from top to bottom. Maintain a distance of 2–3 meters between two operators. Prohibit digging by undermining the foundation or digging holes.
3. While excavating, constantly monitor the condition of the soil walls. If cracks or partial collapses are observed, immediately evacuate the site and report to the construction supervisor.
4. When hoisting soil or other materials, ensure that ropes, pulleys, hooks, and hoisting baskets are in good condition and secure. No one should stand under the vertical point of hoisting.
5. No other work should be carried out within the swing radius of the excavator's bucket.
6. No soil or materials should be piled within 1 meter of the pit edge, and the height should not exceed 1.5 meters.
7. When removing supporting structures, proceed from bottom to top. Fill one layer before removing the next layer. Do not remove all layers at once.
8. The power switch for operating a plate compactor must be a directional switch. Reverse switches are strictly prohibited.
9. When operating a plate compactor, wear rubber-soled shoes or boots and insulated gloves. When moving the compactor, turn off the power and disconnect the circuit. In case of a power outage, turn off the power, lock the switch box, and secure it.
10. Strictly prohibit working under the influence of alcohol. Strictly prohibit joking while working at heights.
11. Strictly prohibit wearing hard-soled, nailed, or slippery shoes while working at heights.
12. When working on a floor, check if openings are covered with protective covers.
13. Tools not in use during work at heights should be placed in a tool bag and taken out as needed.
14. The height of brick placement on scaffolding should not exceed three layers of side bricks.
15. Strictly prohibit throwing or passing materials while working at heights to prevent materials from falling and causing injury.
16. When curing concrete floors, walls, or columns, avoid watering near electrical equipment to prevent electric shock.
17. When cleaning debris on a floor, remove it into the floor area and pile it into a container before transporting it with a sealed container.
