Features: Over the past 50 years, the Beijing Institute of Landscape Architecture and Ancient Construction has made its due contribution to the urban construction of Beijing. The environmental design of the ten major buildings in the 1950s, the planning and design of new parks; urban greening in the 1960s and 1970s; the Asian Games projects in the 1980s; and domestic and international landscape engineering projects such as the greenhouse of the Beijing Botanical Garden, the Tianhua Garden in Japan, and the Deyu Garden in Germany in the 1990s. The urban landscape design, represented by major projects such as the Millennium Monument to welcome the 21st century, the airport road, Chang'an Avenue, and the construction of various ring roads, are all the crystallization of the wisdom of the employees of our institute. In the past two decades, more than 50 landscape design projects have won national, Ministry of Construction, and Beijing municipal outstanding design and scientific and technological progress awards; and some architecturally distinctive design works have received the Beijing Architectural Art Creation Scheme Award and the Top Ten Architectural Design Scheme Award.
