Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2005-07-01
Features: Compiled under the unified planning of the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry (formerly the Ministry of Mechanical and Electronic Industry), the teaching reform textbooks for mechanical vocational and technical schools have been widely used in various teaching reform vocational schools across the country since their publication in 1990. Through teaching reform, the teaching quality of these schools, especially the practical hands-on skills and adaptability of graduates, has significantly improved compared to before the reform. Practice has proven that teaching reform is indeed beneficial for better achieving the training objectives of vocational schools, and the direction is correct. However, due to the lack of exercise books for the teaching reform textbooks, it has brought inconvenience to teaching. To address this issue, schools organized teachers to independently write exercise books for 11 courses for their own use and continuously improved them during use. In response to this situation, the Education Department of the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry and the Research Center for Technical Worker Education organized a joint review and revision of the exercise books in Kunming in June 1994, involving more than 20 teaching and administrative heads and teacher representatives from vocational schools, further enhancing the quality of the exercise books. The revised exercise books were exchanged in some teaching reform vocational schools, providing convenience for teaching and playing a positive role in promoting the improvement of teaching quality, well-received by teachers and students. To consolidate and expand the achievements of teaching reform and meet teaching needs, the Education Department of the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry decided to first revise and improve eight types of exercise books—Mathematics, Chinese, Tolerance and Fit and Measurement, Materials, Mechanics, Basic Electrical Engineering, Parts and Transmission, and Processing Basics—and officially publish them. The writing of the exercise books is based on the teaching syllabi of the corresponding courses, closely aligning with the textbook content, striving to connect theory with practice. While helping students consolidate classroom knowledge and deepen their understanding of teaching materials, the exercise books focus on cultivating students' abilities to analyze and solve problems, truly improving teaching effectiveness and quality. When using this exercise book, teachers can select it based on the requirements of the teaching syllabus and textbooks, combined with actual teaching conditions.
