Features: This specification was revised according to the "Notice on Issuing the Work Plan for the Compilation and Revision of Highway Construction Standards, Specifications, and Quotas in 1999" (Jiaotong Highway Development No. 739, 1999) from the Ministry of Transport. Since the implementation of the "Code for Design of Highway Concrete Pavement" (JTJ012-94), China's concrete pavement construction has made significant progress, accumulating practical experience in building concrete pavements for expressways and first-class highways, achieving research results in the reliability of concrete pavement structures and pavement drainage systems, and elevating the technical level of concrete pavements to a new stage. Therefore, it is necessary to revise the original specification to improve the design quality of concrete pavements and adapt to the continuous development of concrete pavement construction in China's highway sector. The revised specification consists of 8 chapters and 6 appendices. The main contents include the structural design of concrete pavements, joint design, concrete reinforcement design, and the design of overlay structures. Compared to the original specification, the main additions include the design of pavement structural reliability and the design method for adding asphalt overlays on concrete pavements. The calculation method for continuously reinforced concrete pavement reinforcement has been enriched, the requirements for pavement structural combinations and material composition and properties have been refined, the investigation and evaluation methods for old concrete pavements have been revised, and the traffic analysis method has been supplemented. The draft of this specification was reviewed by experts organized by the Highway Department before being modified into a preliminary draft for approval. The China Construction Standard Highway Engineering Committee then conducted a comprehensive review and proofreading.
