Features: With the improvement of living standards and the enhancement of cultural awareness, people's pursuit of the environment is no longer limited to greening and beautification. They also have higher demands for the artistic image and cultural connotation of the environment. As part of applied art, garden sculptures and small works present their artistic charm to people through their unique language. They may deliver a visual impact with distinctive forms, convey profound meanings with rich connotations, or inspire imaginative thoughts with abstract designs. Creating excellent garden sculptures or small works is not an easy task. It requires the author to be familiar with landscape discipline knowledge, as well as with aspects such as form, color, environment, space, composition, and materials. Additionally, a solid foundation in history, culture, and art is essential. It is heartening to note that in recent years, people's emphasis on garden sculptures and small works has long moved beyond mere quantity. The early phenomenon of winning through quantity, uniformity, and shoddy craftsmanship is now less common. Sculptors and designers now pursue higher levels of refinement in the form, content, and materials of their works. Abstract sculptures with bright colors and minimalist designs have become a new trend in environmental sculpture in recent years. Realistic, decorative, and abstract artistic works coexist, greatly enriching the diversity of landscape art. This book includes approximately 400 images of garden sculptures and small works in real scenes, with nearly 300 images of garden sculptures and about 100 images of garden small works. The editor has categorized the images into 10 sections based on the creative style and form of the works, accompanied by concise textual descriptions for each image. The collected works exhibit diverse styles, with most being superior pieces, aiming to provide readers with references. Of course, some works are outdated in form, poorly executed, and even incongruent with the environment. It is hoped that readers can learn from the strengths and avoid the weaknesses in practical operations, taking these as cautionary examples.
