Features: The basic objectives of this book are twofold: First, to select representative countries or heritage sites worldwide as case study subjects. It aims to first clarify their respective management systems for World Heritage and their operational conditions; second, to analyze and summarize their experiences and lessons in handling the relationship between conservation and utilization; and finally, to propose targeted suggestions for China's World Heritage conservation and utilization. Since China primarily focuses on World Cultural Heritage, the research emphasizes the management of World Heritage in various countries. Second, it provides a brief introduction to the 788 World Heritage sites approved by the World Heritage Conference as of July 28, 2004. The purpose is to give readers a comprehensive and fundamental understanding of all World Heritage projects and to ensure they have a thorough grasp of the World Heritage projects covered in this book. The book is divided into two parts: the first part is case studies, and the second part is an introduction to all current World Heritage sites.
