Features: Science, especially natural science, one of the most important goals is to pursue the original driving force of science, or to pursue its impetus. At the same time, this spirit of pursuing science itself has become a basic impetus for social development and human progress. Science always seeks to discover and understand new phenomena in the objective world, study and master new laws, and is always relentlessly pursuing truth. Science is residential, rigorous, pragmatic, and at the same time, creative. One of the basic attitudes of science is skepticism, and one of the basic spirits of science is criticism. Indeed, scientific activities, especially those in natural science, are more basic characteristics than other human activities in terms of continuous progress. Even when retreating in other aspects, science always progresses, even if slowly and arduously, which shows that natural science activities contain the progressive factors of humanity. Precisely in this sense, science can be called the impetus for human progress.
Science education, especially education in natural science, is an important factor in improving people's quality and is the precious core of modern education. Science education not only enables people to acquire the knowledge and skills needed for life and work but, more importantly, it instills and cultivates scientific thinking, scientific spirit, scientific attitude, and scientific methods, enabling people to gain non-biological instinctive wisdom and a non-innate soul. It can be said that without scientific education, it is merely cultivating faith rather than education. A person who has not received scientific education can only be considered trained, not educated.
