Features: The dilemma of consumers in the 21st century is that products have become better and cheaper, yet consumption requires more and more time, facing increasing troubles: a customized computer that cannot be compatible with other printers, computers, and software; repairing a car involves multiple rounds of communication, waiting, and rework; driving long distances to a "superstore" where there are tens of thousands of products, most of which are better and cheaper than 25 years ago, but none of them are what we truly need; business trips filled with endless queuing, transfers, and delays; and frustrating "customer service centers" that neither answer questions nor provide services. In many places such as airlines, customer service centers, auto repair shops, hospitals, shoe stores, and supermarkets, when customers queue and wait, is it a profit or a waste for the suppliers? Is it the customers who pay, or the suppliers who pay? If it's the suppliers who pay, are they willing to eliminate this wasted time? If true lean supply can be closely integrated with true lean consumption, then consumers can live better, employees can be more satisfied, and suppliers can earn more. This is a win-win situation: suppliers, employees, and consumers will work together to deliver lean solutions.
