"The European Diary of Da Yong and Xiaohua" weaves a journey tracing the roots of European civilization. Starting from Paris, which stands atop modern and contemporary art, you descend to the Pompidou Museum (modern art), the Orsay Museum (Impressionist art), and the Louvre Museum (classicism). Here, Mona Lisa whispers to the homeland of the Renaissance—Florence, Italy. Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and other masters pioneered the Renaissance movement, and in their hearts, the sacred place was Greece, seemingly reaching the origin. Yet, this is not the end. Connected to this source is the distant Greek mythology, including the legend of Atlantis. On the Greek island of Santorini, do you see the Atlantica Hotel? It is where people carved their longing for Atlantis. In the expanse of blue and white, there is also a coffee-colored volcanic island, which might have been the peak that led to Atlantis's destruction. The white houses of the small fishing village of Oia (Ia) are scattered in, perched on the cliffs by the Aegean Sea, bathed in the glow of the setting sun. It is a tranquil scene, with the dark cliffs below and the calm sea. A cruise ship glides across, leaving a graceful arc, and the distant legend is frozen in this moment.
