The Complete Works of Xu Zhimo took 8 years to compile and is an 8-volume set, collecting approximately 2.5 million words of Xu Zhimo's poetry, essays, novels, dramas, translated texts, letters, and diaries, encompassing all works of Xu Zhimo that are currently accessible. Han Shishan, the chief editor, is also one of the scholars who study Xu Zhimo. According to him, The Complete Works integrates the discoveries of experts and scholars from all over the country over the past decade, who have provided many previously uncollected manuscripts of Xu Zhimo.
