Features: On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Philosophy Department at Fudan University, the third issue of Fudan Philosophical Review was published, which can also be considered a small commemoration. At the age of fifty, one begins to understand one's destiny. Looking back at the fifty years of the Philosophy Department, like other philosophy departments in the country, it often navigated through political storms in a winding manner. After the reform and opening-up, it returned to academia. Philosophy indeed carries the responsibility of observing and critiquing the times, but thought can only be deepened and advanced through the medium of academia, following its own laws. Behind the calm surface of academia lies the trajectory of intellectual changes. In an open era, academia is also open. How can we leverage the resources of scholars from both shores and overseas to gradually form a common academic community within the Chinese academic sphere, establish Chinese academic norms, and foster effective academic exchanges? These questions deserve careful reflection. Perhaps the destiny of academia will naturally manifest itself in this soil. Fudan Philosophical Review aims to provide a platform for academic exchange in philosophy. Through academic dialogue, it seeks to advance the depth of thought. In this issue, we have organized several groups of articles, with a focus on key Buddhist studies and phenomenology. In the future, each issue of Fudan Philosophical Review will feature specialized and in-depth articles to form shared topics and an internal dialogue dynamic.
