The major feature of this book is that, based on the designed questionnaire, a comprehensive and in-depth survey was conducted among nearly 700 lawyers regarding the practice status of criminal defense lawyers. Based on the summary and analysis of the questionnaires, six major issues encountered in the criminal defense activities of lawyers were studied and analyzed, leading to a series of new conclusions. During the research process, the researchers fully utilized the reports and data of empirical surveys, and the comments and conclusions were as much as possible based on empirical analysis. The book consists of two parts: one is six modified research reports, each completed by one defense lawyer and one doctoral or postdoctoral student; the other is the questionnaire and questionnaire analysis report that reflects the collective wisdom of the research team.
