Features: This series of books has two key concepts: " stories" and " sentiments." The rich variety of "stories" behind the mountains and waters is a primary characteristic of Chinese landscapes. Due to the long-standing civilization and historical heritage, as well as the long-term influence of agricultural life, the "stories" behind China's mountains and waters are particularly abundant, meaning that the cultural landscapes are exceptionally rich, and the accumulation of historical and cultural heritage is especially profound. This series blends landscape aesthetics, anecdotes and legends, literary works about mountains and waters, and local customs and traditions, offering readers a "comprehensive collection of stories."
sentiments are a unique cultural mindset formed by our ancestors over the long course of agricultural society. The publication of this series in its current form is the result of the collective efforts of many colleagues and friends. Special thanks go to Luo Zhewen, who tirelessly explored the countryside to protect cultural heritage, as well as the renowned photographers Gu Di, Li Yuxiang, Wu Yinnan, and Li Xiangde, who provided a wealth of photographs of cultural relics, historic sites, and mountain-water art, adding a rich classical poetic charm to the series.
