Huainanzi Jishi (Upper, Middle, and Lower) - New Edition of the Collection of Masterpieces of the Hundred Schools of Thought

Author: He Ning
Publisher:
Publishing Time:
Features: This book is based on the Guangxu 2nd Year edition of the Zhejiang Book Bureau, with Zhuang Kuiji's annotations, and cross-referenced with the Daozang edition, Daozang Jiyao edition (abbreviated as Shu Zang), Zhongli Si Zi edition (abbreviated as Zhongli), Mao Yigui's edition (abbreviated as Mao), Liu Maosheng's handwritten Song Dynasty edition (abbreviated as Jing Song), the Tang Dynasty manuscript of "Binglue" (abbreviated as Gushi), as well as references from Tang and Song dynasties' encyclopedias and other books that originated from or were related to Huainanzi. The collected views of various scholars are listed in the appendix "Huainanzi Book Catalog," so only the authors are marked, not the specific rules or book titles. Each entry is preceded by an "○" for separation, also distinguishing it from original annotations. Existing annotations are marked as "Ning's Case." The text and annotations of Zhuang's edition remain unchanged. Occasionally, obvious errors are corrected directly, or missing annotations are supplemented, with the sources cited in the notes. The collected scholars are arranged in chronological order. If the text or annotations are missing, fragmented, or nonsensical, punctuation is temporarily omitted. Theories of predecessors that are inappropriate or overly fragmented are mostly deleted.
