Features: "Feng Gan Yu Hua" was written by Wang Shizhen (1634–1711), styled Zizhen, also known as Yishang, styled Runting, and later known as Yuyang Mountain Man. He was from Xincheng, Shandong (now Hantai County, Zibo City, Shandong Province). Born into a bureaucratic family, Wang Shizhen was diligent in writing throughout his life and authored numerous works. Among his notebooks alone, he wrote "Chi Bei Ou Tan," "Ju Yi Lu," "Xiang Zu Bi Ji," "Gu Fu Yu Ting Za Lu," and others, with "Feng Gan Yu Hua" being just one of his notebooks. It is a notebook that combines personal observations and discussions on knowledge. The book consists of four volumes and is not long in length, but its content is extremely broad, covering everything from the writings of his ancestors, to ceremonial systems, poetry criticism, geographical research, anecdotes of scholars, explanations of word meanings, lost ancient books, social customs, local products, and even medical remedies. The earliest published edition of this book is the 48th year of the Kangxi reign (1709), which served as the basis for the Qilue Book Hall annotated edition and the stone-printed editions of the Republican era. For this annotation, the first edition was used as the base text, and all quoted passages with doubts were checked and corrected. Some errors in the original text were also corrected. Words added or corrected are marked with [], while the original misprinted characters are retained. Additionally, to facilitate readers' searches, titles were added to each entry, and they were uniformly numbered.
