Author: Zhang Guangming

Publish Date: 2006-03-01
Features: This book largely originates from three sources: First, it includes partial content from Chapters 2 and 3, as well as Chapter 2, derived from a postdoctoral exit report. Second, it features articles that emerged from intermittent discussions and debates with peers in the research community, specifically parts of Chapters 2 and 4. Third, it systematically explores the moral philosophy of enlightenment and how the literary trends of enlightenment transitioned into "post-enlightenment" thought, primarily in the later part of Chapter 4 and Chapter 5. Research on different sections of this project was supported by various forms of funding. Initially, in 2001, a grant was applied for and approved for the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation Project. Later, it was approved as part of Jiangsu Province's Philosophy and Social Sciences Research "Fifteenth Five-Year" Plan. It also received support from the Nanjing University China Modern Literature Research Center at the Ministry of Education. This publication was made possible by the strong support of Mr. Ni Guo Wei, and it is a privilege to be included in the "Shanghai Sanlian Academic Series."
