Publish Date: 2005-12-01
Features: This book attempts to apply the stance, viewpoint, and methodology of Marxist philosophy to examine the dialectical relationship between society and nature from the perspectives of worldview, values, and methodology, as well as its historical development. It analyzes and compares the progress, characteristics, and achievements in the research on domestic ecological environment and social development issues. It explores ways to resolve the contradiction between development and the environment in the contemporary era. It describes and attempts to construct the value pursuit and ethical standards of ecological civilization, encouraging the public to widely participate in this great social cause of ecological environmental protection. The writing of this book is based on years of teaching experience in related courses. In the late 1980s, to meet the needs of new professional course settings, I took on the teaching task of the course "Social Environmental Protection." Entering the new century, to fulfill the needs of the reform of undergraduate teaching in the School of Humanities at my university, I offered a short course titled "Philosophical Reflections on Global Ecological Environmental Problems."
