Shi Fuliang, originally named Shi Cunting, was a native of Jinhua, Zhejiang, a political activist and scholar during the period of the Chinese democratic revolution. He was one of the earliest members of the Communist Party of China and made significant contributions to its founding and development. After the failure of the National Revolution, he left the party and engaged in factional activities, beginning a career dedicated to political reform without involvement in politics. However, he soon withdrew due to disagreements on political views. From then on, he completely withdrew from all factional activities and began a scholarly career focused on writing.
