Features: It is worth noting that translation studies, while introducing various theories, tend to be swallowed up and absorbed by them. Although the field of translation studies appears to be expanding, there is a hidden risk of losing its own position as translation moves from the periphery to the center. In the face of this danger, we must remain clear-headed and maintain an independent awareness of the discipline of translation. We must systematically explore the issues of translation theory from the perspective of building translation studies. The "New Perspectives in Translation Studies" series, edited under the support of Shanghai Translation Publishing House, is a concrete embodiment of this effort. The series has clear objectives: First, the selected topics are designed to have substantial theoretical depth and originality, contributing to the theoretical construction and development of the discipline of translation. Second, the research is expected to be systematic, ensuring quality through a strong sense of inquiry, scientific research methods, solid arguments, and comprehensive data. Third, the research is expected to be open-ended, requiring researchers to have a broad theoretical perspective while keeping up with the latest developments in international translation theory research. With the support of colleagues in the translation field and the efforts of the authors, we hope our goals can be further achieved. This series systematically explores translation theory issues from the perspective of building translation studies. The selected topics have substantial theoretical depth and originality, and the research is systematic, open-ended, and innovative.
