Features: The Collected Works of Mao Zedong includes 803 documents by Mao Zedong, serving as a comprehensive multi-volume collection of Mao's works that reflects the scientific system of Mao Zedong Thought. It fills the gap left by the absence of a selected collection of Mao's writings during the socialist period. The editing of the Collected Works spanned eight years and was published in three installments. The Collected Works only selects documents that are factually correct or substantially correct. For manuscripts and previously published speeches or records of conversations, the editing work primarily involved verifying historical facts and correcting text and punctuation. For speeches or records of conversations that had not been previously published, significant effort was required for technical textual editing. The annotations in the Collected Works primarily focus on explaining people, events, quotations, documents, and other related matters. Annotations also introduce Mao Zedong's ideological viewpoints connected to the main text or correct inaccuracies. We extensively researched materials, consulted experts, and conducted rigorous verification to ensure the annotations were as complete as possible.
The Collected Works of Mao Zedong is another comprehensive multi-volume collection of Mao's works that reflects the scientific system of Mao Zedong Thought, following the Selected Works of Mao Zedong Volumes 1 to 4.
