Features: The concept of mobile micro-fiction can be well explained by borrowing a passage from the renowned literary master Wang Meng, who spoke about the inception of micro-fiction in China in the mid-1980s. Wang Meng said: "Micro-fiction is a kind of wit, a kind of sensitivity, a sudden grasp of a scene, a moment, or a side of life, and the ability to portray it once grasped." Mobile micro-fiction emphasizes the "short" while avoiding the "long," presenting hundreds of words starkly to the reader, with no room for obfuscation or optical illusions. This year's Grand Prize Competition sets a limit of 350 words, aiming to promote brevity and precision while fully utilizing the mobile phone's capability for reading, writing, and publishing anytime, anywhere. Mobile micro-fiction has the characteristics of hybrid literature, with relatively free and blurred boundaries. However, whether it incorporates elements of stories, skits, fables, essays, poetic expressions, or even historical elements, it ultimately remains a novel, retaining some fundamental features of the genre. The intention behind compiling this small collection is to allow more participants and enthusiasts to gain a more vivid and intuitive understanding of the innovative mobile micro-fiction and its rules, ensuring that this pioneering competition can continue to be conducted in a healthier and more high-standard manner, from one edition to the next.
