Features: This series follows a format of original text with pinyin annotations. Ancient and variant characters are marked with black boxes in the lower right corner, while proper nouns such as names of people, places, and dynasties are highlighted by changing the font style. To protect children's eyesight, we have adopted a large-character layout, hoping that children can memorize the texts while reading in a relaxed manner. To ensure the quality of this series, professional scholars have been engaged in pinyin annotations and proofreading based on authoritative editions, and authoritative experts have been invited for final approval to guarantee the excellence of this series.
Reading requires a method. When the method is correct, the effort yields twice the result. Great masters have advised that reading classics is valuable, and reading classics is valuable only when one reads them thoroughly to gain insight, uses the insights to apply knowledge, applies knowledge to achieve proficiency, and achieves proficiency to innovate. This is also the original intention behind the Classic Reading Project. In summary, it boils down to six words: refined, thorough, insightful, applied, proficient, and innovative. Among these, insight, application, and innovation are explained. However, the explanations should ideally be based on refinement and thoroughness. As for sudden enlightenment or profound understanding that occurs in a state of undisturbed focus and single-minded reading, that is truly extraordinary. In such cases, conventional explanations become unnecessary.
