Author: Tang Wenlu (Qing Dynasty)
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 1982-05-01
Features: This book is an extremely popular rhyme dictionary from the Qing Dynasty, compiled by the author by selecting the strengths of previous rhyme dictionaries. It contains an extremely rich vocabulary and is arranged very appropriately. The book also includes "Shi Xi" and "Ci Lin Dian Xi," collecting a large number of poetic and lyrical classics and common phrases from old poems. It is printed from the 1922 edition of Guangyi Bookstore. The division of poems and odes is carefully selected, and "Ci Lin Dian Xi" is uniformly arranged in the middle part, allowing lyricists to choose appropriately. However, it avoids the flaw of indiscriminately including inferior works. Although many editions contain a wealth of poetic materials, they often include outdated and irrelevant classics. "Shi Xi Yi Bian" offers convenient parallelism, and additional "Shi Shi Xi" is cited to supplement what is lacking in classified books.
