Who is Roland Barthes

Author: Wang Min'an
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2005-05-01
Features: This is a reprinted book. Compared to the previous edition, the only change is the title – from the 1999 first edition "Roland Barthes" to the current "Who Is Roland Barthes." Originally, it was included in a series of books, but now it has been freed from the series that once benefited it. It has a strong desire to return to its original context – whether as a context for everyday life or as a context for intellectual life. Roland Barthes' writings are immortal books. Typically, a book that comments on immortal books is often ephemeral. Except for a few immortal books, most books have a fixed lifespan, and some authors even strive to extend their lives. The author's book, like most ephemeral books, disappeared quickly after its first publication, as expected, and was lost without a trace. Today, it has the fortune to be reborn and to occupy a place in the crowded bookstore once again. This fills the author with both joy and gratitude – the joy is undeniable; once a book (regardless of its immaturity) unexpectedly gains additional years, its author gains immense satisfaction as if it were the time of its first publication. And this gratitude is owed to all those who have contributed to the author's joy.
