The "Academic Hundred Schools Series" will be a grand project for the promotion of academic excellence. Like the vast ocean embracing a hundred rivers, academic discourse seeks to weigh and judge. To accomplish this task, we rely on the support of scholars, translators, and readers at home and abroad, to offer valuable insights, enrich the brilliance of scholarly works, refine emotions through reason and principle, and together open new horizons for the revival of Chinese civilization and the spread of world civilization, leaving an imprint of academic honor of the highest and noblest kind.
The creation of Chinese modern poetry and the exploration of poetic theory have gone through a long and winding path. In recent decades of searching, we looked to the former Soviet Union and found only a model and a formula; we looked to the West and discovered that only by horizontally understanding cultural and national roots and advancing positive poetic convergence could we find vitality. Moving further, we shifted from the original collision between Chinese and Western poetic theories to the cultural context of the relationship between "local" and "global."
