Features: Since the 1980s, the burgeoning tea culture movement in China and around the world has opened up broad prospects for promoting and upholding Chinese national culture. With the strong support of Shanghai Cultural Publishing House and the enthusiastic encouragement of our peers, we have resolved to delve into the essence of Chinese tea culture—ancient tea utensils—in the vast realm of tea culture. We have compiled and published them as a book to dedicate to readers. The aim is to contribute to the study of the historical culture, life art, and social civilization of ancient Chinese tea utensils, further promoting and enhancing the tea culture rooted in the Chinese homeland, allowing it to shine with new brilliance and enabling the world to better understand China.
To help readers better understand ancient Chinese tea utensils and gain a more comprehensive understanding, we first introduce knowledge related to the origin and development, characteristics and features, appreciation and preservation of tea utensils before discussing various types of ancient tea utensils. During the writing process, we attempted to divide the tasks based on their relevance to the profession, and after completing the initial drafts, we engaged in mutual review and revision. The manuscript underwent three revisions before taking its current form, with the goal of minimizing errors in the final product.
