Features: The phrase "making wedding clothes for others" contains so much sorrow that it has evoked countless empathetic tears for over a thousand years. As for it being frequently mentioned, it is a practice of the numerous modern editors who emerged with newspapers, magazines, and books. The author is one such editor. Many people sympathize with the author. Some also deeply understand my passion for this profession, so even when provoked, I do not get emotional to the point of secretly wiping away tears. There is an exception among my close friends who, using the author's ridicule, crafted a story to digest and sober up. "The Wedding Clothes I Made for Others" is one of the newly published volumes in the Kaijuan Literature Series, Volume 2. "The Wedding Clothes I Made for Others" is a collection of selected articles written over decades by the veteran editor Zhang Pinzhen, who has worked as an editor for more than half a century. The earliest article in the book was written in 1937, while the latest, "Three Calligraphies Given to Me—Joy and Sorrow," was written in the hospital this year. The article narrates the author's journey in the mid-20th century of obtaining the calligraphy of three great scholars: Shen Congwen, Ye Shengtao, and Yu Pingbo.
