Features: This dictionary began to be compiled in 1972 by the collaboration of three institutions: Peking University, Tongji University, and Shanghai International Studies University. In 1975, it was included in the national language dictionary publishing plan and was officially assigned to Shanghai International Studies University for unified leadership. From 1977 to 1979, Sichuan International Studies University also sent personnel to participate in the compilation. This dictionary is a medium-sized comprehensive language reference tool that emphasizes both definitions and usage, containing over 85,000 entries. Given that German is widely used in the field of science and technology, the dictionary includes a significant number of technical terms, approximately 18,000 in total.
