During this time, I heard about the terrorist attacks in the United States and couldn’t believe it was possible. Yet, the reality was staring right at us," and this topic became a hot topic of discussion among Western tourists. At this moment, I had a profound sense of connection to the book in my hands. I believe that those who can orchestrate such turbulent international events must be incredibly intelligent, but such wisdom brings disaster to people. Looking back at my time in China, through the chance of interviews, I met many outstanding celebrities. They all (to some extent) possess positive and proactive ideas worth emulating, which are also the reasons for their success today. However, those who do wrong possess the same intelligence but, due to their misguided beliefs, harm more innocent people. In fact, it is not difficult to notice that some who excel in their professional fields may also hold extreme views. Once a person lacks humanities and spiritual purification, they merely possess empty skills. Such skills are easily misused, especially when conscience is blinded. Philosophy transcends any religion, it does not incite fanaticism or excessive idol worship—this is the preciousness of the spirit. Yet, modern people often overlook the need for spiritual civilization. The more chaotic modern society becomes, the more we should take time to (settle down) and pursue spiritual richness. This doesn’t cost money, nor does it involve scheming, yet it can give you more and make life better. "Absolute Sketches" collects not just the ideas of a single country but blends Eastern and Western thoughts, broadening our horizons and waking us up to the blind spots we often overlook. Whether in love, work, or friendship, it offers excellent perspectives worth holding as a standard. The process of writing also brought me great reflection. I am honored to have had the opportunity to compile this book, and I hope its content will inspire readers with new insights.
