After classifying and describing various types of landscapes, the book conducts regionalization work on the overall differentiation phenomena of Chinese cultural regions. This book divides Chinese cultural landscapes into concrete and non-concrete categories, examining the formation mechanisms and diffusion and integration characteristics of these two major types of cultural landscapes. Finally, using a comprehensive analytical method, it proposes a regionalization scheme for Chinese cultural landscapes based on the spatial differentiation of agricultural and pastoral types of Chinese cultural landscapes. The main part of this book is the classification and elaboration of concrete settlement landscapes, industrial landscapes, public service landscapes, and non-concrete folk culture landscapes, linguistic and literary landscapes, and religious landscapes in Chinese cultural landscapes.
