Publication Date: 2006-12-01
Features: In 1994, before the Chinese edition of "The Fifth Discipline" was published, Peter Senge and four other authors collaborated to release "The Fifth Discipline Fieldbook," which delved deeper into the path of developing learning organizations and provided practical examples and tools for implementing the five disciplines. The "The Fifth Discipline Fieldbook" can be seen as a sequel and extension of "The Fifth Discipline." As a culmination of their research, Senge's seminal work, "The Fifth Discipline – The Art and Practice of the Learning Organization," was published in the United States in 1990. The book was awarded the highest honor of the World Business Academy in 1992 and was selected by Harvard Business Review as one of the most influential management books in the past 75 years. Senge himself was also praised by Business Week in the same year as one of the most outstanding new management masters of the modern era. In 1994, the companion practical handbook "The Fifth Discipline Fieldbook" was published; in 1999, "The Dance of Change" was released. Thus, Peter Senge sparked a global movement for "learning organizations."
