Wang Wei's poems are primarily arranged according to the chronologically annotated Wang Wei Collection with Annotations, with a few exceptions adjusted based on my own interpretations of their dates. Meng Haoran's poems are arranged by poetic form, so they have been reorganized in reference to modern studies of Meng Haoran's life. The annotations are concise and accessible, adhering to the publisher's requirements. The comments are the author's personal reflections on appreciating and analyzing the poems, revealing their emotional and thematic depth while emphasizing artistic expression in aspects such as composition, structure, language, rhythm, imagery, artistic conception, and style. Depending on the nature of the works, the comments may be detailed or brief, focusing on one or two perspectives or offering a holistic overview, avoiding overly literal explanations that miss the essence. Where artistic comparisons are insightful, they are presented with illuminating critiques. The commentaries are also written to be concise, vivid, and engaging.
