Chapter 5: Types and Functional Settings of Electronic Dictionaries Defines electronic dictionaries, distinguishes their categories, and summarizes their functional settings.
Chapter 7: Interface Structure of Electronic Dictionaries Summarizes and generalizes the functional settings and types of interface structures of electronic dictionaries, including interface and search entries, interface and window forms, and the multimedia functions of interfaces. It also analyzes the interfaces of some high-quality dictionaries.
Chapter 8: CD-ROM Electronic Dictionaries Briefly introduces the general characteristics, individual features, interfaces, and search functions of CD-ROM electronic dictionaries published in Europe, America, and China, as well as their shortcomings. And so on.
Through the elaboration of the above twelve chapters, the book roughly defines the nature, tasks, and scope of research in computational lexicography, enabling lexicographers to determine their research directions based on actual conditions and effectively promote the development of computational lexicography in China.
