Features: There are over 200 irregular verb forms in German (excluding extended verbs with added affixes), which can be very complex and difficult to memorize for beginners. Additionally, some very common basic verbs have extremely strong word-building capabilities, as adding different prefixes can form over a dozen related verbs (known as "word families" in German), which is also a learning challenge. Firmly mastering basic irregular verbs and their extensions is very important and possible for those learning German, as the changes of most irregular verbs follow certain patterns. This book is based on over 150 commonly used irregular verbs and focuses on introducing the various tenses and moods of irregular verbs, their usage, and the extensions of basic verbs. The book is divided into four parts. Part 1 uses concise and intuitive charts to classify and summarize the conjugation of irregular verbs, systematically introducing the formation and usage of irregular verbs in the present tense, imperative, past tense, and second participle (also called past participle), as well as the related passive voice and second subjunctive mood. Specific examples are provided for each type of conjugation, tense, and mood to help readers grasp the concepts and apply them to similar situations. Part 2 selects 20 commonly used irregular verbs and explains their usage and the usage of related verbs derived from them through example sentences. For example, if you need to check the usage of ausschreiben, you can refer to the root verb schreiben and then find ausschreiben under that entry. Part 3 consists of targeted exercises for self-assessment. The fourth part provides reference answers. Readers can find the corresponding content in previous chapters by the numbered annotations after the exercise questions, such as: Exercise 4 (to 3.2.1), meaning this exercise corresponds to the content of chapter 3.2.1. Readers can read the explanations in the front while doing the corresponding exercises in the back, thereby deepening their understanding through examples and repeated practice. The appendix lists all the irregular verbs mentioned in the book in alphabetical order for readers to refer to.
