Features: The 50th anniversary celebration of Shanghai Literature was originally supposed to pass quietly. Thanks to the kind assistance of East China Normal University Press, we are now launching a series of anniversary publications. Fifty years fly by in the blink of an eye. If among our readers, there is someone who read Literary Monthly out of a love for literature during their middle school years, then you are now a seasoned elder who acts as you please but stays within bounds. If there is someone who read Shanghai Literature out of a love for literature during their middle school years, then you are now also a middle-aged person who has weathered all storms. If you are still among the readers of Shanghai Literature today, then our commemoration of the 50 years of Shanghai Literature is also a commemoration of the beautiful years of literary reading you have experienced, and a commemoration of the friendship and trust you have shown toward the magazine over the past 50 years. If there is someone who, during their middle school years, still read our new issue (July 2003) of Shanghai Literature out of a love for literature, then you and we should work together. Let us together explore the next 50 years of the future of Shanghai Literature.
