Features: The Baoshi Art Anthology was first published in 1986. It is an important reading material for studying and researching the history of Chinese art, Chinese painting theory, guiding art creation, and improving artistic cultivation; it is also a reference book for studying and researching Mr. Fu Baoshi's painting art, academic thoughts, political attitudes, and his life experiences, etc. By 1994, several major commemorative events for Mr. Fu Baoshi had been held, including research conferences and the publication of three commemorative special issues. Almost all commemorative speeches and research papers were inseparable from this Anthology, which provided researchers with rich hand references. However, Mr. Fu's writings were extensive, and the 1986 edition of the Anthology was merely a compilation of the results at that time. In the following seventeen years, as his successors, we have continued to collect his remaining works. Finally, with the help of heaven, through extensive efforts in searching and locating, we have subsequently collected another thirty articles. In 2004, it was exactly the centenary of Mr. Fu's birth. To better commemorate him and to better disseminate and preserve his writings and thoughts, Shanghai Guji Press decided to comprehensively revise and correct the old edition, and to supplement the newly collected for a new publication of the Fu Baoshi Art Anthology. This is undoubtedly a great event worth celebrating.
