Features: Many years ago, I lived for a long time in a small, windowless black room. I wrote in the dark, accompanied by beautiful music. Music drove away the darkness and allowed me to see countless scenes of light that are hard to find in life. Besides Beethoven and Mozart, I also like the Czech composer Dvo?ák. Most of Dvo?ák's melodies are deep and beautiful, with a vast and expansive, vibrant Bohemian and Slavic atmosphere that sweeps away the constraint and melancholy caused by narrow spaces. With the music, one can spread their wings of imagination and yearn for the magical realm of their ideals. Back then, there were no advanced audio equipment, only a very simple tape recorder, but the melodies of Dvo?ák that came from it were still beautiful and moving. Dvo?ák's famous works, of course, are From the New World, which is Dvo?ák's Symphony No. 9, also known as the New World Symphony or From the New World. There are many interpretations of this work, but when I listen to it, I never pay attention to those explanations. I just use my heart and emotions to feel, appreciate, and imagine it. Every time, it moves me deeply. I like its second movement, with its thick, tranquil, and beautiful, melody, which can open up a vibrant world for me. This world is sometimes the natural scenery I have traveled, and sometimes an unforgettable moment that is often intertwined with joy and sadness, a complex and subtle emotion, a unique and profound understanding of life. For example, I often recall a life-and-death struggle I had in the Yangtze River while listening to the melody of the second movement of From the New World. It was a struggle without support, my opponent was the rushing river, and the water wanted to drag me into the arms of death. But my instinct for survival made me swim out of danger with extraordinary perseverance, reaching the riverbank. When I lay exhausted on the riverbank, feeling the green reeds gently brushing my skin, the melody of Dvo?ák's From the New World second movement appeared in my mind. I have never felt this music so close.
