Features: This annotation is based on the Huanyuan Lüshi Chunqiu (corrected edition). It extensively collects over ten editions from the Yuan, Ming dynasties, and Japan (see the supplementary appendix for the old editions used in annotating Lüshi Chunqiu). References from books published since the Tang and Song dynasties that were used for verification are not included. The book cites over one hundred and twenty annotations from previous scholars (see the supplementary appendix for the list of annotations cited in annotating Lüshi Chunqiu), all of which are recorded below the original text of Lüshi Chunqiu. When multiple interpretations are consistent, they are all listed for reference. For interpretations that are identical, the most comprehensive one is selected, while the others are simply noted as agreeing with a certain scholar without quoting their full text. However, if the interpretations are the same but the arguments differ, both are included. Interpretations deemed to be based on forced or arbitrary reasoning are excluded.
