Features: Dong language belongs to the Dong-Tai language family and the Dong-Shui branch. There are numerous irregular correspondences between the initials, tones, and final consonants in modern Dong language. To explain these complex correspondences as much as possible, Zhang adopts the "Pre-initial Consonant Hypothesis" proposed by Mr. David, Mr. Ajari, and others to reconstruct the original initial consonant system of Dong language. Based on this, Chapter 2 employs the "Comparative Method of Linguistic Discourse" recently proposed by Mr. Xing Gongwan to argue for the genetic relationship between Chinese and Dong languages.
