Features: At first, the Fire-Eater was as hard and cold as ice, but gradually, he softened and began to sneeze. After sneezing four or five times, he warmly opened his arms and said to Pinocchio, "You are a kind and brave child! Come give me a kiss." Pinocchio immediately ran over, climbing up the owner's mustache like a squirrel, and sweetly kissed his nose. "So, can I be forgiven now?" asked the poor Harlequin in an inaudible whisper. "Yes, you can be forgiven!" replied the Fire-Eater. Then he sighed, shook his head, and continued, "I have to wait—just a bit! Tonight, I can only eat half-cooked lamb. But next time, whoever meets him will have bad luck!"
