Features: Hegel's Logic, commonly known as the "Great Logic," is distinguished from the "Logic" in the Philosophical Works, which is commonly referred to as the "Small Logic." The Logic is divided into three parts: "The Science of Being," "The Science of Essence," and "The Science of the Concept." The first two parts are collectively known as the "Objective Logic" and were published in 1812 and 1813, respectively. The third part is called the "Subjective Logic" and was published in 1816. After the three parts of the Logic were published, Hegel began to revise it, but he only completed the revision of the "Science of Being" part. Hegel's works were published in three complete editions: the Mitchler Edition, the Groener Edition, and the Lasson Edition. The Chinese translation follows the editorial arrangement of the Lasson Edition, with "The Science of Being" as the first volume and "The Science of Essence" and "The Science of the Concept" as the second volume. The translation is primarily based on the Lasson Edition and also references the Groener Edition.
