Features: For years, the Montague and Capulet families, who have long-standing animosity towards each other, have frequently caused disturbances in Verona due to their feud. At the beginning of the play, a few troublemaking servants reignite this feud. That very night, the Capulet family hosts a traditional family gathering. Romeo, a member of the Montague family, happens to learn about this and decides to sneak into the gathering with some of his friends. At the gathering, he falls in love with Juliet, the daughter of the Capulets, at first sight. She also falls in love with him. After the gathering, the young couple confesses their love to each other in the Capulet orchard. The courtship is brief, as they decide to marry in secret the next day. Then Romeo joyfully seeks out Friar Laurence to arrange the wedding. He asks the Nurse to deliver a message to Juliet, informing her of the specific time and place.
