Features: The compilation principle of A History of Song-Ming Neo-Confucianism is: based on Marxist viewpoints, to analyze and discuss historical facts and ideological materials in order to draw scientific conclusions. Under the guidance of this compilation principle, we have successively completed the writing tasks of A Comprehensive History of Chinese Thought (five volumes and six books) as well as An Outline of the History of Chinese Thought, A History of Modern Chinese Philosophy, and A Study on the Feudal Society in China. For example, regarding the mastery of historical materials, all comrades emphasize primary sources and are reluctant to cite ready-made materials used in others' works. We firmly believe that firsthand excavated materials are more reliable and reassuring. In the use of references, we pay attention to their completeness and strive to avoid taking things out of context or cherry-picking. If there is anything incomplete or unsatisfactory, we must earnestly seek further research to ensure accuracy.
