Features: The implementation of nine-year compulsory education and the weekend system in our country has provided children with time and space to develop actively. How can we provide better mathematics learning and development for children who excel in their studies? This is a hot topic of concern for parents, teachers, and society. In 1994, when I met with Professor Oharen, the president of the World Association of National Mathematical Competitions in Bulgaria, we shared a common view: stimulating interest in mathematics learning, guiding learning methods, and cultivating thinking ability are key aspects of mathematics education. The newly compiled "Beijing Mathematical Olympiad Primary School Textbooks" (Levels 1 and 2) fully embody the principles of "interest being the source of motivation for good learning" and "thinking being the core of intelligence and ability."
