Features: This book introduces the formation and early development of Jewish civilization, the path of its revival since modern times, the religious life of the Jewish people, their economic, political, and social life, as well as their educational, literary, and technological achievements. The Chinese nation and the Jewish nation both belong to the world's oldest ethnic groups. The long-standing Chinese civilization shares many similarities with Jewish civilization, such as valuing family bonds and emphasizing the role of education. The ancient Jewish community in Kaifeng lived harmoniously with local Han, Hui, and other ethnic groups, gradually integrating into the community. Since modern times, Jews have settled and thrived in cities like Shanghai, Harbin, and Tianjin, leaving their own influences and marks on the development of these cities. During the Nazi Holocaust, Shanghai became the only major city in the world to unconditionally accept Jewish refugees, a story that remains celebrated to this day. The many chapters of friendship written by ordinary Chinese and Jewish people on the vast land of China will forever be recorded in history. May readers, accompanied by the more than 500 precious images, walk through the footsteps left by Jewish civilization in its long development, gaining a deeper understanding of this treasure of human civilization.
