Features: In August 1996, an "International Academic Conference on Taoist Culture" was jointly organized by the Hong Kong Taoist Academy and the Department of Philosophy at Peking University and held in Beijing. The conference was attended by over 150 scholars from more than ten countries and regions around the world, achieving extremely fruitful results. Most of the papers presented at the conference will be published in this issue and subsequent issues in due course. For the convenience of readers, the journal has tried to group similar works in the same issue during the editing process. This issue and Issue 15 are primarily focused on papers discussing Taoist doctrines, while Issue 16 will concentrate on research topics related to Taoism.
