Features: The "Taiping Jing" (Book of Great Peace) from the Later Han Dynasty is one of the important classics of Taoism. Only one manuscript from the Ming Dynasty's "Dao Zang" (Canon of Taoism) survives today. The original text consisted of 170 volumes, but the current edition only preserves 57 volumes. The editor, Mr. Wang Ming, has collated, supplemented, appended, and preserved the text based on the "Taiping Jing Chao" (Collected Fragments of the Taiping Jing) and 27 other cited works, largely restoring the original 170 volumes. He has also examined and explained several issues related to this classic. The entire work represents the early classics of Chinese Taoism and is valuable material for the history of Chinese philosophy and the history of Taoist thought.
