Kobayashi Daisaku and the remaining Japanese army in Shanxi

Author: Compiled jointly by the Second Historical Archives of China, the Central Archives, and the Jilin Provincial Academy of Social Sciences
Publisher:
Publication Date: July 21, 1995
Features: This book is a collection of archival materials. Although the Japanese imperialists, upon their defeat and surrender, burned most of their archival records in China to destroy evidence of their crimes, a large amount of material documenting their atrocities still remains. This has made it possible for us to dedicate this book to the readers of Wuda University. However, due to limited resources, this book can only be presented as a "selection." To facilitate reader use, the book is organized into thematic volumes, covering the "September 18th Incident," the North China Incident, the puppet Manchukuo and Wang Jingwei regime, the repeated major atrocities in Northeast China, the fascist rule of the Manchukuo police and constitution, the scorched-earth campaign in North China, the atrocities of the Japanese army in various places, biological warfare, and economic plunder, among others. The facts reflected in the selected archival materials are mostly events that occurred between 1931 and 1945.
