Features: To regulate the work of applying for master's degrees based on equivalent academic qualifications and ensure the quality of degree conferment, the 16th meeting of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council decided to introduce a national unified examination on comprehensive academic levels for applicants with equivalent academic qualifications. Since September 1, 1999, individuals applying for master's degrees with equivalent academic qualifications must obtain the "Certificate of Qualification for the National Unified Examination on Comprehensive Academic Levels in Corresponding Disciplines" to meet the necessary prerequisite for obtaining a master's degree. The purpose of the comprehensive academic level examination is to strengthen the macro-control and standardized management of the conferment of master's degrees to applicants with equivalent academic qualifications, and it is an important part of the national assessment of the professional knowledge structure and level of applicants for master's degrees. In 1998, experts were organized to compile and publish the "Outline and Guide for the National Unified Examination on Comprehensive Academic Levels in Journalism and Communication for Applicants with Equivalent Academic Qualifications." Over the past five years, based on the suggestions of a large number of examinees and relevant experts, we have revised this book carefully on the basis of summarizing the experience of recent years' unified examinations. The revised outline (Second Edition) will serve as the basis for setting questions for the national unified examination on comprehensive academic levels in journalism and communication for applicants with equivalent academic qualifications in the coming years. It is also provided as a reference for universities and colleges in related teaching and tutoring, as well as for examinees in reviewing and preparing for the examination.
